The data science team’s mission at SIGNA Sports United is to provide data-driven solutions to improve the efficiency and decision-making across our group of companies in different areas including pricing, marketing, and demand forecasting.
As Data Scientist for marketing attribution modeling, you will partner with marketing managers and use logs and telemetry from our websites to efficiently allocate marketing resources. The position requires a sound knowledge of statistics to properly apply empirical models for marketing attribution and communicate the results to non-technical audiences across our group of companies.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to refine a vague problem statement and formulate the right question.
- Design, implement, and carry out the statistical analysis to provide insights for decision making related to marketing.
- Summarize and communicate to technical and non-technical audiences the results from the data analysis and the underlying assumptions.
- Write reproducible data analysis using large databases from our business units across Europe.

Data Scientist - Pricing

SIGNA Sports United is growing its data science team for pricing and looking for Data Scientists to develop tools to continuously improve our automated/AI-driven pricing decisions across our group companies.

As Data Scientist in the pricing team, you will partner with pricing managers and use our large and rich datasets to develop tools for demand forecasting and better understand the price elasticities of our large assortment of products. The position requires a sound knowledge of statistics to help to formulate a well-defined business question, and the ability to tell cause and effect relationships from correlations. Also importantly, the Data Scientist requires excellent programming skills as well as the ability to convey business insights to non-technical members of the team. This is a challenging position, that has a large impact on the everyday operations of our group of companies, and that will ultimately help us in our mission to become a data-driven organization.

Financial Controller

We are growing and are now looking for a motivated Financial Controller to support our Finance Team in Berlin:

- Responsibility for the preparation of the annual budgets (balance sheet, P&L, cash flow), forecasts and the regular analysis of the business plans for the group
- Coordination of the process of preparing annual budgets and forecasts by the subsidiaries
- Assumption of responsibility for ongoing reporting, preparation of deviation analyses and derivation of measures in coordination with the Head Group Finance and the CFO
- Reviewing and updating the profitability calculations for projects and optimising reporting on projects
- Participation in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements according to IFRS (e.g. impairment test); knowledge of IFRS desirable
- Creation of evaluations for the management
- Ongoing development of controlling and reporting structures (systems and processes)
- Cooperation with auditors and other external service providers
